Julieta Meroño of the Buenos Aires Housing Institute describes the city's participatory initiative to physically, socially, and economically integrate the Rodrigo Bueno neighborhood. For decades, the inhabitants of Rodrigo Bueno faced limited access to basic services and exacerbated climate vulnerability. Through a robust community engagement process, the city's team has built hundreds of new energy-efficient homes, provided greater protection from climate risks, and created new economic opportunities for residents.
