Guro Watten Furu of Oslo's Climate Agency describes the city's innovative Climate Budget. Introduced in 2016, this approach integrates emissions reduction targets directly into the municipal budgeting process for increased ambition and accountability. The Climate Budget has allowed Oslo to achieve impressive results, including a 30% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to 2009 levels and widespread electrification of public transportation.
