Juwon Kong
Postdoctoral Associate
Juwon Kong is a Postdoctoral Associate in the Seto Lab at Yale School of the Environment. His research examines how urban vegetation responds to climate change and urbanization using high-resolution satellite observations, AI, and multi-sensor data fusion. He develops methods to improve the spatial and temporal resolution of satellite imagery and applies them to monitor urban parks, tree communities, heat environments, phenology, and ecosystem services. His work connects remote sensing, GeoAI, and urbanization research to provide spatial evidence for climate adaptation, urban environmental planning, and long-term management of urban green spaces.
